The Universe is made up of galaxies and all the objects in outer space. There are about 10 000 million galaxies in the Universe. There are large spaces between the stars and the galaxies.The galaxies are moving apart from one another, so the Universe is expanding. Until now scientist have not been able to estimate the size of the Universe. The Andromeda :-
- The galaxy nearest to our own is the Andromeda.
- It is a spiral galaxy bigger than the Milky Way.
- It was the first galaxy to be discovered.
- We should appreaciate the expanse of the Universe.
- The earth is tiny in the Solar System.
- The Solar System in the Milky Way.
- The Milky Way is one of the million of galaxies.
- The galaxies are located within the Universe.

There is a lot to learn about the Universe. Exploration into outer space is helping scientists to gather more information about the Universe. Man's curiosity about the things around him will drive him to seek more knowledge about the Universe. Isaac Newton, a famous English scientist, realized how little he kmew about the Universe. He said,
' I feel like a child playing with pebbles on the shore while the vast ocean of knowledge lies undiscovered before me '.
